London Hotel Information Centre

My wife and I were flying from London Heathrow Airport to Copenhagen with British Airways from Terminal 4 at 6.50 am so needed to be at the airport two hours before departure. As we live in Worcestershire, about 120 miles from Heathrow Airport, we decided to travel down the night before and stay at a hotel near London Heathrow Airport where we could leave the car and get a taxi to the airport early on the morning of departure and be picked up from Heathrow upon our return and taken back to the hotel.

We had only once travelled from Heathrow before so I spent some time researching on the internet to find a suitable hotel near London Heathrow Airport with car parking.

After extensive research and numerous telephone calls to a number of hotels near London Heathrow Airport I chose the Pinewood Hotel near Slough-a twenty minute drive from Terminal 4 at Heathrow. It is conveniently located about a ten minute drive from junction 1 of the M40 and about two miles from Slough.

This hotel near London Heathrow Airport was recently built to an excellent standard. It is small enough to offer a personable service which I encountered whilst both booking a room and during our brief stay.It has excellent hotel parking.

We arrived at about 6 pm and were given a larger room in the annexe to the hotel because a wedding was taking place and music would be playing until 1 am. The room was well equipped including a flat screen tv, small seating area, air conditioning, an electric adjustable bed, bathrobes and a good bathroom.

We dined in the hotel restaurant which was designed in a contemporary style and had an excellent meal with good service.

We retired early to bed having booked an early morning call for 3.55am.

As arranged, on time, the hotel bedroom phone rang and ten minutes later a member of staff arrived with tea and toast including jams which we ate in our room before the taxi arrived to take us to the airport.

Our car was safely parked outside the hotel main entrance until our return the following evening having been collected at the airport by the taxi firm.

Upon arrival at the hotel late in the evening we were warmly welcomed by the staff and had a drink and something to eat before returning home.

I would not hesitate to stay at the Pinewood Hotel which proved to be an excellent choice of hotel near London Heathrow Airport and at an affordable price.
